Monthly Archives: October 2013

02 October 2013

Hi Folks,

Just a short Newsletter this month as we are off on holiday for a few days in October as the month is quietening down now.

As most of you have now noted our opening hours have changed and after our holidays we will be open 11.00am to 6.00pm Wednesday to Sunday.  At the moment we are still open late on a Friday – until 10.00pm (or thereabouts!) and we have our special Friday evening menu on offer – a three course menu, with choices from our daily menu and a Plat du Jour, as well as a special dessert.  With Half Term holidays in mind we can also offer a child menu too if you have little ones with you.  Booking a table will ensure you are not disappointed.

When we re-open on the 16th October we will change from our summer menu to our winter menu.  We will still have all the favourites (pies, omelets, burgers and sandwiches) but will also have our scrummy Chicken Curry and warming Chilli con Carne, as well as jacket potatoes and soup on the menu.  Hope this tempts you to pay us a visit…

One of our regular clients, Nancy Dray, will be performing at the Salle “Le Tet aus Beus” – Le Grand Pin – La Tardiere on the 12th and 13th October in a tribute to Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel (the famous French guitarist).  It promises to be a wonderful evening and you can book tickets and get more information by phoning 07 61 29 79 61.

We still have a couple of tables left for the Quiz Night on Saturday 26th October.  The meal will be Cottage Pie with garden peas, followed by a dessert.  As usual please contact Paul with your deposit to book your table – four team members to a table – first come – first served basis.

And finally, the Pic Vert will be offering a special “English” menu this weekend – FISH AND CHIPS!  I believe it was a great success last time and they hope to repeat that this weekend – a shame we will not be around to try it out….

OK folks that’s it for now, many thanks for your continued support and we hope to see you in the cafe soon.

Kind regards

Karen and Paul
