We have the honour to announce a change of ownership at our beloved Café Cour du Miracle,
a charming English run café restaurant at the heart of the historic tourist town of Vouvant, overlooked by the ancient tower of the legendary Melusine.
In recent weeks the new owners, Suzanne and Dean Richards, have been shadowing Karen and Paul at the café. They are British expats who have lived and worked in Australia for over twenty years. Suzanne and Dean hope to bring some of the café and coffee culture that is so popular in Australia, to the Vendée; while continuing le Cour du Miracle’s tradition of supporting the artist and tourism community in and around the medieval village.
Please join us in sending Karen and Paul a wholehearted thank you and congratulations. We wish them all the best for a beautiful retirement!
The café is closed now from the 15th March to 10th April for a freshen up.
Come on into the Café for a friendly chat over a beer, a pot of tea, coffee, or maybe a glass of wine, we are always happy to see you. Our menu offers a variety of home-cooked traditional English and French food, and in the warmer months you can eat outside in our secluded rear courtyard. View our opening hours here.
But we are not just about food and drink,
we have a wealth of information on local events, attractions and tradespeople. Our walls and shelves display artwork from local artists, and we hold many regular social events including live music and quiz nights. So whether you are just passing through or new in town, come on in and find out what’s happening.
We hope to see you soon…..!
